Siedliśmy przy jednym z bardziej oddalonych stolików. Na scenę wyszła Lucrecia Baltimore, właścicielka baru - właściwie sama mogłaby śpiewać, bo głos ma jak anioł. A i resztę niczego sobie. Weszła, zapowiedziała zespół, usiadła. Z wdziękiem, jak to ona. Zgaszono światła.

The church of St. Anthony Padva in Sokolka

This place is very important for every Christian in my town, thereby I think, that I should say something about this special place.
Each worshipper should know, that the church was build in 1565 by Zygmunt August. At the beginning it was made of wood and because of that it burned in 1796. After this terrible event christian followers didn't have any sacral place where they could pray. Every wanted to have Masses in a real church and finally in 1848 in the same location a new church has appeared.
Our church is quite big and has two high towers wich contain big bells. In front of the church there is an beatiful image of St Mother (it contains about two kilograms of gold). Near the church there are many buildings which belong to our priests and a large car park. Behind the church there is an alley which leads on a cementary.
The church has been enlarged in XX century becausenumber of people living in our town had increased. The church has ive altars and the main altar is in baroc style. There is one nave and two transepts.
The church is very popular because there are held many performances of orchestra.
There are many reasons for seeing this beatiful church and I think that every Christian should do it as fast as he can.
